His Story
Apostle Sylvester Ovwighotu answered the call to ministry with a simple conviction: that every life matters to God and that no one should walk through hardship without hearing the Gospel of grace. From humble beginnings in prayer meetings and house fellowships, that conviction grew into LIFEGATE International Christian Mission Inc.
For over two decades he has given himself to the ministry of the Word — teaching, preaching, counseling, and mentoring believers into spiritual maturity. His teaching is marked by clarity, warmth, and a pastoral concern for the whole person: spirit, soul, and body.
Alongside his preaching ministry, he leads outreach and missions efforts that serve widows, orphans, and communities in need, believing that the Gospel is proclaimed both in word and in compassionate action.
He is a devoted husband and father, and remains accessible to the flock — regularly making time for personal counseling with those seeking spiritual direction, marital guidance, or prayer in a season of decision.
